Finding my way in paradise…

A warm Ulovane Welcome to our January intake! The students have hit the ground running – there is so much to do, see, learn, experience, enjoy – I think the first couple of weeks are always overwhelming! Once you have settled though, Ulovane does become your home away from home and the last thing on your mind is leaving this paradise!

Asher, Tomoko, Annie, Clint, Marc, Helene and Robert – we wish you an amazing time here at Ulovane! Weather you here for 1 year or ten weeks – enjoy your time with us, go all out and give it your best – at the end of the course you should regret nothing and experienced everything!

Tomoko from Japan is our first student to share her experiences with us – ENJOY!

FINDING MY WAY IN PARADISE!

One week has passed since I arrived at Ulovane. The language, food, lifestyle, weather and animals are all very different from my native Japan, but the staff and other students have all been helping me to embrace this new culture and environment and I am finding my way in this amazing place. At Ulovane you can forget the stresses and problems of everyday life and focus on enjoying nature and wildlife – which we all are. We have been out on the beautiful Amakhala Game Reserve and were lucky enough to have seen a Cheetah and her five sub adult cubs, they were very relaxed and allowed us to get quite close, what an incredible experience this was! We have seen Elephants, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest and many other wonderful creatures, the reserve is so beautiful and I look forward to spending more time out in the bush. We have visited the lodges and assisted real guides with their duties and game drives to get an understanding of the life of a Field Guide. Everyone really enjoyed this and came back full of different stories – what an incredible way of life these guides have. So that was only our first week, we have also written our first two exams. It has been a fun packed week and still there is nine more to go on our Level 1 course. It is all very exciting and we are learning so much! Tomoko

It’s some sort of shame you don’t employ a donate press button! I’d most certainly donate to this brilliant blog! When i think for the moment i’ll settle for bookmarking in addition to incorporating ones Rss feed to help the The search engines bank account. When i glimpse ahead to help new updates and may promote that webpage having the Facebook or myspace group:

I’d have to check with you here. Which is not something I usually do! I enjoy reading a page that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!
